Which Is Better?

I am completing my second instructional book. I need your opinion to make a decision which cover would be more attractive. Please let me know which book would pool your attention on a shelf in a book store?

K. Sterkhov. Book cover versions. What is your choice?

  1. The cover on the left would catch my eye... they are both very nice, the cover on the right might be popular in the Fall... but for year round appeal I'd go with the boats.

  2. To make it difficult for you: I like the second better. Because it says 'landscape' to me. The first one, the boats, is beautiful, but not an example of landscape.

  3. Sorry to make things even more difficult, but I like the second cover better only because I feel it catches the eye more. It just seems more lively. Both are beautiful, however.

  4. The vignettes show landscapes with plenty of water so why not the first cover with the title and subtitle of the second version ...

  5. ~Hello Konstantin:) I would prefer the second one because of the warm colors. Good luck with it!

  6. Hi Konstantin,
I would choose the left one if I saw both on a shelf in a bookstore.
I prefer it because of the atmosphere.

  7. Hi,
In my opinion second cover is better. It catches eye and will be more visible on the bookshelves.

  9. I found orange with trees one more attractive as it is more optimistic and positive, not sad as a grey with boat looks for me.

  10. Absolutely the left one. The painting is more mysterious and elegant. Less is More! The cover gives an impression that you learn modern watercolour painting from this book.
